This week Louis Freedberg and John Fensterwald speak with EdSource reporter Carolyn Jones about innovative ways that rural and small schools without extensive resources and field trip opportunities are bringing fab labs and cutting-edge technologies to their classrooms.

Louis and John also talk about the wave of teacher strikes across the country and their implications for California. And they discuss the value of teacher diversity – and efforts to increase it – in California, where students of color now comprise three-quarters of public school enrollment.
