What’s not on California’s education agenda – and should be

California has its plate full implementing a range of landmark reforms, including the Local Control Funding Formula, the Common Core State Standards and a new accountability system which will go beyond just test scores and include “multiple measures.” In many respects, California is leading the nation with these reforms.

But is California done? Are other reforms needed to ensure that students succeed? In the following commentaries, a range of leaders of education nonprofit organizations, including EdSource executive director Louis Freedberg, share their thoughts about what additional reforms are needed.
