EdSource Today's Susan Frey featured on KPCC

EdSource Today reporter Susan Frey, who covers disciplinary issues, was interviewed by KPCC Take Two host Alex Cohen about an EdSource analysis of the use of “willful defiance” of authorities by California’s 30 largest districts as a reason to suspend students.

The analysis found a large disparity in the use of the “catch-all” category among districts, with African American students the most likely to be suspended for this reason.
