An administrative credential allows an individual to develop instructional programs, evaluate personnel, decide discipline for students and school employees, and manage budgets. As with teachers, administrators first receive a preliminary administrative credential, followed within five years by a full or clear credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
