Be a Source for EdSource

To help us better represent the vast diversity of California education, EdSource has established an on-the-ground community network of contributors across the state.

We want to hear directly from you about what is happening in your schools, colleges and early child care centers; your innovations and your challenges. (Click here to jump to the signup form.)

Who should participate?

The network is open to anyone who cares about or has a stake in California’s public education system. Parents, teachers and other school staff, early child care providers, school administrators and board members, college faculty and administrators, students, advocates, researchers and community members are all invited to join.

By participating, you will have a direct channel to reach out to us with your ideas, questions and concerns and our reporters will be able to contact you for perspective and insights on how the issues they are covering is affecting you or playing out in your community.

How it works:

Our team may reach out to you by email, text or phone for more information about a topic. If it is something you want to respond to, you can reply and our reporter may follow up with you for more information. There is no obligation to respond.

If there is something you feel needs our attention, you can reach out to us with story ideas, tips and other insights. While we may not be able to pursue every tip immediately, we value the information and ideas submitted by our network members and promise that every communication is read and shared with the appropriate members of our team.

Privacy & Confidentiality

We value your privacy. You can share information on the record, which may be published and quoted in our stories, or provide tips for our reporters to use as background only. We will not quote or cite you without your permission.
