With nearly 100,000 students, City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is one of largest community colleges in the nation. But CCSF is facing the threat of losing its accreditation, at the same time as it copes with major budget cuts. All of this makes the upcoming election of members to the college’s Board of Trustees the most important in years. EdSource executive director Louis Freedberg, along with San Francisco Chronicle higher education reporter Nanette Asimov, helped moderate a candidates’ forum organized by New America Media.
